Xiaomi has unveiled the second generation foldable phone. On Thursday (August 11), Xiaomi announced the launch of the phone at an event in China. On this day, it was announced to bring some more innovative technology devices with the phone named Xiaomi ‘Mix Fold 2’.
It is known that the specialty of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 phone is that it is quite slim compared to any previous foldable phone. The phone can be folded and unfolded like a book. So the emphasis is on the phone’s ultraslim design along with other benefits.
The thickness of the phone when unfolded is only 5.4 mm. As such, it is the world’s thinnest foldable phone. Xiaomi says its micro waterdrop hinge has made it possible to make phones with such a thin design.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 phone will have two displays. View experience can be taken from two displays inside and outside. The cover will have a 6.56-inch panel, which expands to eight inches when the phone is unfolded. For taking selfies, the phone has a 20-megapixel camera on the front and three cameras with a telelens on the back.
The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Generation Plus 1 chipset. In addition, there are two Harman Kardon speakers, a 4,500 mAh battery and a 67-watt fast charging system. The price of the phone in China is set at 8,999 yuan, which is about 1,300 US dollars
